Calm evening sea and a long jetty on the coast of Phu Quoc

Ong Lang Beach

Quiet coves north of town

Ong Lang lies about ten to fifteen minutes by road north of Duong Dong, on the west coast. Instead of one long strand it has a series of smaller beaches and rocky coves, backed by gardens, pepper farms and forest. The resorts here are mostly small, boutique places and bungalow compounds, and the atmosphere is noticeably quieter than on Long Beach.

Like the rest of the west coast it faces the sunset and is at its best in the dry season. It makes a good base for travellers who want calm evenings but still want to be within easy reach of town, the north of the island and the tour pickups.
